050520-N-0000X-001 North Arabian Sea (May 20, 2005) Ð 4, 200 pounds of hashish seized by a flag verification boarding team from the U.S. Navy guided missile frigate USS Kauffman (FFG 59). A coalition effort involving ships from Commander, Task Force (CTF) 150, under the Coalition Forces Maritime Component Command, led to the seizure aboard the motor vessel Al Naveed in international waters. Kauffman, part of the amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3) Expeditionary Strike Group (ESG), is conducting maritime security operations with coalition forces in the region, setting the conditions for security and stability in the maritime environment.
