030427-N-3228G-004 Pearl Harbor, Hawaii (Apr. 27, 2003) -- A family member of Electricians Mate 1st Class Charles Jones, a Sailor aboard the guided missile frigate USS Reuben James (FFG 57), clutches a star with his fathers name inscribed on it shortly after the ship returned to homeport. Family members made a banner with a star for each Reuben James Sailor while the ship was on an extended nine-month deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Operation Iraqi Freedom is the multi-national coalition effort to liberate the Iraqi people, eliminate Iraqs weapons of mass destruction, and end the regime of Saddam Hussein.
