Photo Description:
040503-N-7391W-063Pearl Harbor, Hawaii (May 3, 2004) - Celebrity Chef Roy Yamaguchi dishes up lunch during a visit to the Pearl Harbor-based guided missile frigate USS Crommelin (FFG 37). The Ney award-winning Culinary Specialists assigned to the ship invited Chef Yamaguchi to come aboard and share his thoughts on food preparation and cooking. Yamaguchi is often regarded as a culinary pioneer because of his fusion of European and Pacific styles of cooking. He operates 31 "Roy's" restaurants scattered throughout the United States, Japan and Guam. Chef Roy has also hosted six seasons of the PBS-TV show, "Hawaii Cooks with Roy Yamaguchi" seen in all 50 states, as well as over 60 countries. U.S. Navy photo by Journalist 1st Class Jim Williams.
