Saipan is on scheduled deployment to the U.S. Southern Command (NAVSO) area of responsibility in support of New Horizons, the humanitarian assistance efforts in Haiti. As part of New Horizons, U.S. forces will build schoolhouses, drill wells and provide medical attention to the people of Haiti.
